Default Valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals

hey Im replacing my valve cover gasket, and my spark plug tube seals thursday is there anything I should know, or dooes anybody have any pointers if so please help!! its a 97 dodge neon dohc

there isnt really too much to it...just unbolt and pull off....thats pretty much it

Tighten in the order pictured below to 120in lbs.

You may want to make sure that the tubes themselves are set where they should be. I just did mine about 2 months ago and I used a wood block and a hammer to help knock them into place. They had just worked themselves loose after a while I guess.

a dohc doesnt have the tubes like a sohc.........on a dohc, the gaskets just sit on the head

How do you get the "tube gaskets" out, i fought and fought adn couldnt, not even the lubricant properties of swearing worked.

Do you think this will fix my car driving real sluggish ? Its killing my gas badly!!!!!!!! and also do you think it might have something to do with my car overheating, since maybe the motor is working harder because of oil on my plugs ?
