I was wanting to add a tach and a voltmeter to my 97 Neon. Is it difficult to add a tach? Does it matter which one I get, or any certain requirements? The voltmeter shouldn't be a problem. Thanks guys
its not hard at all very easy, you can go with an ebay tach or go to some auto part store. I bought a FUZE dual pod to put mine in with guage. theres a pic of mine in my gallery to give an idea.
How easy is it? Just so you know, I have a 97 SOHC A/T. Is it still just a plug-and-play kinda thing or is it more difficult than that? Also, do any of the gauge clusters have a voltmeter in them or am I going to have to get one of those seperately?
not exactly plug and play but real easy, on meter there where only three wires, a black one for the ground which I sanded down some metal and put it there for good connection, the red wire will go to a 12v power source for example the ingniton ( where mine is hooked up to) the directions will tell you where you need to put the power source, and the last one which may vary was purple which was for lumination and was option or it could have gone with ground wire, it still lights up lights on and off. hope some of that was helpfull and good luck !!
