would 6 3/4inch speakers fit?
how much mod. do you think it would take? cause i'm trying to decide if i want to continue to bid on these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEBI%3AIT&rd=1
or i'll just bid on a pair of 6x9's if the front ones wouldn't fit.... without 2 much mod.

i have one each of my stock speakers. Ok, well, i have all four but one of each doesnt work (and i dont know which). ok, 1 front works and i coulda sworn one back went out but i never sat back there so i cant be sure. i dont know if you need them all or if your looking to replace a blown one. if you want, you can have all 4 for the price of 2!
just trying to help...
Unless anyone knows how i can tell what works without having to actually install them.

Is your radio the stock Dolby? if so just turn on the radio to some station and move the fade and balance from the right rear, then left rear, and then to the front and if u stop hearing the music in any of them then thats the bad one... or it could always just be a bad connection somewhere... and i dont know how to check those...

anyone else know if there is another way to check the speakers without installing them. or if there is a quick way to just give them some power to see if they work maybe?

1st gen stock front speaker size is a 6 3/4....not 6.5......
6.5's unually have 4 mounting points for the screws....12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00
6 3/4 usually have 3 mounting points for the screws.....12:00, 4:00, and 8:00
i bought some 6.5's before and they were too small...i had to drill new holes to mount them...
