Oh, when I saw clunk I thought you were talking about your tranny and the diff pin...LOL! I kinda had the same problem, only mine was on takeoff. It was on my other car that I sold. I didn't have a chance to look at it, but I would guess either strut mounts or something in that area. CV joints pop or click when turning.

ok well yeah...when i stop its fine.....turning its fine....but when i give it gas from a complete stop, once i hit about 5-10 mph you can hear it....just once until i stop again...
it also does it when i am reversing and then go forward...

and you can hear it coming from the lower passenger side....thats why i figured it was a cv

it annoying me and i wanna know what it is before i go and get an allignment again

Is it just one clunk or is it a clunking sound when you are in that speed range?

could be the bushings on the sway bar or a caliper sticking?

i know its not a caliper sticking...but i dont see it being the sway bar....but maybe it is...

but how about this one......it doesnt seem to do it when its cool outside.....i only hear it when its hot....

oh well im gonna put a new tie rod on the drivers side today or tomorrow and i will have to check everything again

its a very solid clunk or bang....sounds kinda like sumone hitting the underneath of the car with a hammer when you take off
