Good questions lol, I have a DOHC auto and mine peels out, maybe you don't have enough power or maybe your tires aren't inflated enough peeling out just speeds up tire purchases and fines if caught, good luck trying though.

the only thing i can think of is not enough power getting to the ground, you should be able too though, Don't worry you will, what mods do you have jimmy? a UDP will help a lot in peeling out.

Two words: Neutral Drop

If you don't really care about your car, put it in "N", rev it up to 5000 rpm then slam it into "D" and floor it at the same time. You could get a 3 cylinder geo to peal out doing that. Or maybe your car will just blow up. Either way I'm sure you will impress your friend.

Here's another idea. Lube up your tires with motor oil. That should do it. Of course you'll probably up in a ditch on the way home, but just like above, either way your friend will be impressed.

BTW, I take no responsibility for damage to your car or anything else if you actually do this.

neutral drops.....thats stupid to even mention....even sarcastically....

automatic neons are not geared to peel out....the valve body limits this...

unless you do some good mods your not gonna get it too......but if thats what you wanna do then i woud recommend getting a performace valve body....roughly about 250.00 then you can peel out all you want

Neutral drops are a bad idea period. A shift kit is the only way to go unless you try on water. Let your friend bust your *****, you have an auto...comes with the territory.
