Yep, it's called Megasquirt. It basically elminates the rev limiter and raises the speed limiter to around 150mph, I think.

The 95 ACR's PCM has no speed limiter.

Also, running megaquirt, you can run it without the stock PCM.

well me and the wife were eating lunch at wendys earlier and have decided that i am just gonna do an srt swap instead....that way the car will have more potential.....i will have roughly atleast 3000.00 to get started...hopefully it wont take much more then that

anyone know where i might be able to find the motor, turbo, trans, pcm, wire harnesses, and preferably intercooler for fairly cheap when the time comes???...i cant find any one ebay

 

Try www.car-part.com for the engine and turbo. I have heard of some people using the SRT-4 tranny, but most people have to cut into the frame to get it to fit. It's bigger than the first gen tranny. Don't get a used SRT-4 PCM unless you are ready to swap over the sentry stuff with it.

People are now running the SRT-4 engine using megasquirt, so that would allow you to avoid the wiring harness crap, just a thought for you!

Try srtforums.com for a cheap stock intercooler, they are a dime a dozen over there.

 

im at the point where i dont know what to do yet.....i guess that i will make a final decision when i get the money....the srt sounds better...then i can still get the staged upgrades.....

Just type it into google and you will find it and if you want you can use that and avoid the PCM and harness stuff.

If you want to run the MS, then you would need the engine with turbo, intercooler, fuel lines, return lines, and all that good stuff. You can use a 1st gen tranny without any problems. I'd suggest the 3.55 tranny, as it is geared for high power engines as opposed to the 3.94.

so is the mega squirt homemade???? sounds like it...anyways and sounds way to confusing...

i think i would rather just use the srt harness and pcm...i want the srt gauges anyways...then i can get a stage 2 pcm..which i do believe doesnt have the sentry key.....

but like i said i guess i will find out when the time comes....but i think the most difficult part for me is goin to be figuring out the motor mounts of the srt4 motor.....i dont know how hard that is gonna be or if i can even do it

 

Any new PCM that hasn't been installed on an SRT-4 has yet to see sentry. It's when it's on an SRT-4 that it sees sentry, and then would be no good on a 1st gen.

All you need is a 2.4 mount adapter. There is a guy who goes by toomanyneons that sells them for $75 shipped to your door.

All ACR's, R/T's, and DOHC came with the 3.94 tranny. Non-ACR and R/T 3.94 trannies have a fifth gear of 0.72 as opposed to 0.81

 

oh well im too confused about what to do yet....everytime i think about it, i cant decide to swap them or just upgrade mine...

im lookin forward to doin a swap...i have been so bored lately, i need to rip sumthing apart soon or im gonna freak.....

i think if i do the swap then im gonna use my r/t for the base of the swap...and then go and get a different neon for my new work car....i can get a 4 door, black, 96, automatic, manual windows, locks, mirrors, no center console, very plain plain car...however
only 95,000 miles.....that way i can take my time whichever route i take....

where would the toomanyneons be found at...ya think??
