Do a flush with the correct Mopar fluid, or if you like one of the "acceptable" ones I mentioned earlier.

If you are draining and refilling it's 4 or 5 quarts. If you drain the torque converter also, then it's 8-9 quarts.

Ok, thanks. BTW Is it the type of tranny that you can fill to the top of the fill hole when topping up?

on a mtx (stick), yes. pull the drain plug and drain. put the drain plug in and pull the fill plug. fill until the oil almost leaks out the fill port. happy motoring.

The fluid level should be within 3/16 inch from the bottom of the transaxle fill hole when level.
