I was just wondering if there was a way to reset the trunk lock to a certain key. My key opens everything but the trunk, and it is pissing me off. I do have a trunk release in the passenger compartment, but until I get an alarm I would like to disconnect it so my sub and amp dont go bye bye.

 

Hmm, the only reason I can think of that the key works on all but the trunk is that the trunk latch was replaced for one reason or another. I dont think there is any way to get the key matched.. You may be able to hire a locksmith to make a key for it but I am not exactly sure. Other than that, I would go look for a lock with a key at the junk yard!

 

key will not work in lock,sounds like lock cyc frozzen up due to non-use,try lube,still dosent work ,need new lock cyc from dealer,which can be coded to your key, just bring vin number & key to dealer

 

Your car was probably broken into previously and a new lock cylinder was put in its place. Happened to mine.

Or maybe yours is locked up, but I have yet to come across one that isn't unfreezeable.

mine doesnt work either....but i drive down alot of gravel roads all day and nite so its all packed with gravel dust......key goes in, but wont turn

 

You could have the car rekeyed so that one key opens everything.

 

mine has the same key as everything else, its just really gunked up inside
