Default fan issues

just got done looking at my lil bros 96 sohc its overheating so i threw in a new thermostat, pulled the fans and tested them, water pump is fine, and when i ground out pin 3 on the temp sending unit the gauge goes all the way to H, and fuse is good, and all electrecial connections are alright so my question is what else am i forgetting here, and where is the fan relay located at? thats my only other thought

have you pulled the codes yet, if not then do so and it should show up if it is the fan relay you, keep in mind you could also have a clogged rad as well. do the fans kick on at all? or do they just stay on and won't shut off even after the car has been shut off for a while? if it does those then it's definatley you fan relay. your fan relay is located on the drivers side on the wall under the battery kinda( more towards the fender), if you get down and stick your hand up there and feel around on the wall you will feel a square like box with two screws holding it on retail its gona cost you 100 bucks from Advanced auto) partsamerica) if you do a search on here there is an actual pic of where the relay is located.

If the fans don't run, check the fuse and then relay.
