Some performance Q's....
i just bought a 1995 dodge neon sohc 2.0. what are some good and cheap upgrades for now that i can do? also, i bought some guages for it, a voltmeter and a air/fuel ratio. i have power to them to light them up, but my volt meter is not reading, where is a good ground and power source for it? also, which wire is the sensor sender wire on my o2 sensor in the exhaust manifold for my a/f guage? and one last question, when i take off from a start, the car bucks alittle, but its not me with the clutch, my bro has an 04 srt-4 and it did it to him too...i put some lucas gear lube in it and it seems to be alittle better, is there anythin else i can do?
for your voltage meter, the power source will need to be hooked up to you ignition. ( could be diff for yours but mine said that one) mine was a red 12v wire. to get to that you need to take off the things around the steering column, the one on top and the one on the bottom. when you take those off look at what's inside and on the left side of the wheel towards the back some you will see a wire harness for the ignition. looking inside the harness where the wires are going in is where your going to need to stick that the red power one im not sure which one id have to check my haynes manual and let you know which one it was. this is so when you turn the key the needle on the guage will do as well. for the ground, just find anyplace that has some metal going and make sure its clean so it makes a good ground, if im correct there should be a third wire for you gauge which might be purple, this is an optional wire that controls the lum, you don't really need it because when you hook everything else up it will still light up, you can let it go or combined it with the ground one, it won't hurt anything, I hope that wasn't to confusing. tomorrow Ill take some pics of the ignition part I was telling you about to give a clearer Idea, good luck and hope some of that was helpfull.
Gosh ***** I totally forgot about that one it's there when you hook up the deck and you say to yourself, not gona be using that anytime in the future. should have thought about that.
Im definately going to be using that one next time I have to hook something up. I would have never remembered to use that one untill you said something.
