popping in exhaust
a couple of times a day when im driving the car sounds like it backfires.....only when i start goin from a stop.....as soon as i let out the clutch when shifting into second it pops and boggs down.....but just for a second..then its perfectly fine....im not sure if its the cat, o2 sensor, or sumthing with the egr...or what, any ideas???...
and no i dont know if its throwing a code for it because the CEL is always on.....if i get a chance later when i get off of work i will bring the computer out there and check the light

exhausts do that sometime
my stock DOHC does that
usually aftermarket exhausts do it
my friend's rice rocket use to do it all the time
i think its just with the better flowing exhausts tho
my SOHC exhaust never did it

oh believe me, its not the axhaust just doin it.....sumthing isnt working right....this sounds like its backfiring...but just once and a while and only one time when it does
im not all that horribly worried about it...its just more annoying then anything.....and no, not into the intake, out the exhaust
i might just have to switch out the egr to check(i think i have 5 or 6)...
i never got a chance to hook the computer up to the car yet, but maybe tomorrow...then if its throwing a code i will know

If it's a really free flowing exhaust, it will do it at lower rpms, it's called scavenging, if your exhaust is built for huge HP, and has a 2.5-3" exhaust on a N/A car, the exhaust gasses will swirl back, and pop.
