update....her car was still kinda drivable...until we were on the way to work this morning....now its just about dead.....so it looks like this afternoon after i get off of my second job im gonna be changing a motor.....not this weekend....hopefully it will be done tomorrow nite[:'(]

Do you own an engine lift or do you rent one?

i own one.....i change motors soo much that it is worth having one around.....

i am really looking forward to doing the job...swapping motors is probally one of my favorite things to do
i just wish i could do it all straight through.....but i have to go to work here in a little bit...then when i get home, start on the car, then i only have a few hours to work on it until i have to go to bed, then get up for work a few hours later....then come home and go to bed...then get up and go to work again...then after that i hope i can finish it.....before i have to go to bed again

 

I wish I had time and money to purchase a DOHC engine, build it and swap it in...but I like my Mag cammed SOHC also!

 

i have plenty of time, but money right now isnt that great....good enough, but not great....thats why im gonna use one of the motors sitting in the garage to swap into her car...im gonna hook a tranny up to it and all the components and then just do a straight swap....that way it saves me time...

i just want it my car done now, but from the looks of it im gonna have to wait another month or two until i will have all the parts for it to be redy to go in my car.....

in the mean time i think i will use the bad motor out of the wifes car to build up mine

but for right now im gonna go and change an o2 sensor on my rango....then ive gotta get the wife up so we can go to work[:@]
and in about 3 hours, onward with the swap
