well i took the trans off the car today.....the engine is still hard to rotate by hand......i cant figure out whats wrong....tomorrow afternoon im gonna hook the trans back on the car and then remove the oil pan and see if i can figure sumthing out.....this just really sux so far.....i was lookin forward to driving a pt cruiser tomorrow afternoon.....but i guess that it will have to wait a few more days[:'(]

You have to put bearings in one at a time and test the crank after every bearing. Check you clearances too with either Platigage or measureing devices. Then go one to the next one. Make sure your bearing caps are going on the correct dirrection on the conrrect bearing. If you got a .010 under bearing and a standard crank your in trouble. So just go back and take the rods and pistons out and then go back to one bearing at a time. If you get done and won't spin like glass you need to find your problem. If it does then go to pistons. Make sure the rods go in the correct dirrection if backwarkds you may have the offsets bind up. So one piston at a time and should still go smoothly.

OH yeah, when you lube the beaings with assembly lube DO NOT LUBE between the BLOCK or cap and bearing itself. Only between Crank Journals and bearngs (be it mains or rods). You may just make it to tight and bind up the assembly that way too.
