Spark plug broke in unusual place PLEASE HELP!!!
HI, im new to this forum due to the fact that i just recently purchased my sisters 1997 SOHC neon from her, two of the spark plug leads had oil on the bottom of them and after reading on here about the seals going bad to removed the valve cover in order to replace them. while i was at it, i was planning on putting new spark plugs in the car. and while i was removing one of them it snapped but in an extremely unusuall place, i really dont want to have to pull the head so any advice would be extremely helpful. if my only opetion is to remove the head could someone please give me some direction in what that entails and how to go about it. thank you and i hope to hear some replys. here is a picture of where the plug broke, its not the porceline(sp?) its almost as if the metal just slipped off of it right below where the wrench goes on.

fixed it.. used what i call an easy-out dontknow the real name for it, its sort of like a tap with left handed threads on it and i screwed it into what was left of the plug and spun it right out, damn you must always look at the glass half empty in order to say right off the bat that i have to pull the head but thanks anyways.. peacee

i thought i was the only one in the world that ever had that happen with spark plugs, lol, mine were champions that broke like that, i played hell gettin mine out with an easy-out, but i very carefully got them unscrewed
i ended up welding an easy-out to an old 3/8 drive extension to be able to get to it
