this is a semi related problem but on a car that isnt a dodge product. my friend recently told me her odometer stopped working. the rest of the instrument panel works. any idea what would cause that? Im probably not going to attempt to fix it but ive never seen the inside of one of those things and have no idea how they work. just curious.

^^^A gear might have broke off in the cluster. On my wife's 2000 Sebring, here trip odometer doesn't work because the little plastic gears broke a few teeth.
