your probally gonna spend more on the dohc head and all the parts to swap over(head and all internal parts, intake manifold, thermostat housing, motor mount bracket, valve cover, and whatever else) then the adapter plate for the sohc...

internal parts for the dohC(cams, cam gears) cost about twice as much as the sohc, being that there are twice as many parts........but, if you build the bottom end a little then you wouldnt need performance cams or cam gears because you can just turn the boost up...so thats an option
i ordered alot of parts betewwn yesterday and today, so
here is my shopping list, and the parts with prices are what i have alredy ordered and the price i paid including shipping......

srt turbo/manifold/mopar BOV/oil, oolant lines......200.00
srt intercooler.......65.00
3 gauge piller pod.......19.00
srt stock boost gauge......20.00
autometer electric oil pressure gauge......47.00
autometer air/fuel ratio gauge.......45.00
boost controller........
walboro fuel pump.......
srt hot side intercooler pipe.....30.00
srt cold side intercooler pipe.....30.00
missing link......
stage 1 clutch.......
exhaust manifold gasket......
intercooler piping kit.......
srt stock downpipe.......45.00
vortec 6:1 fuel pressure regulator.......
AGP adjustable wastegate actuator......80.00

and since im gonna put the NOS on my car:

autometer nitrous pressure gauge......
NOS micro throttle switch......15.00

and since the boost gauge i got didnt have a few things i had to order them too.....
light socket/bulb......12.00
hose and fitting kit.......7.00

and within a few days i will have my port/polished intake manifold done...so that will add a little more fun...and the otherday i got an iceman intake for 30.00.....so thats 30.00 away from the turbo parts, but it was well worth it..

tomorrow afternoon im gonna take a trip to hahnracecraft and get the missing link and t fitting for the turbo oil lines...
and im not gonna worry about the boost controller for the time being because the guys on srtforums said that the only way to lower the stock PSI is to get a adjustable wastegate actuator...thats why i ordered the AGP....but i still want a boost controller, but its not a priority as of now......

pretty much all of the srt parts i got came from srtforums and they have been alot of help with any questions ive had

im gonna be getting so many packages in the mail and from ups in the next week or so that its gonna be insane
ok spud so if i wanted to turbo my sohc and just run 5-7psi boost no more than that i would need to get all of that ? (plus sohc adapter)

you wont need the nitrous stuff.
if you need a clutch then thats your choice
in order to run 5-7psi you will deffinately need the adjustable waste gate actuator
the hot and cold side intercooler pipes might not be a needed part, i just got them incase i couldnt find the right pieces in the intercooler piping kit.
you dont NEED the different gauges or the gauge pod, but it would be a good idea to monitor the system
if you get the srt4 turbo and it doesnt come with the oil and coolant lines then you will need those too(most dont come with them)
and if you dont find a turbo with a BOV and want one, then you have to get that too

but otherwise for the most part that should be it.....

You will need to build up your tranny then.

You don't have to unless you are going to beat on it and if you do build it up, it will be terrible to drive on the street and highway. The MTX has a higher gear allowinging for better gas mileage and higher top speed.

You need to ask yourself what you want out of the engine.

Oh wait wait wait...you just wanna put the turbo in right? Not the whole engine. You won't need to build up your tranny for that, then just make sure you have ther proper fluid and correct level in there.
