The short side connects right to the TB and you can put a piece of exhaust pipe in between like the pic below. You will have to trim your stock battery tray just a bit to let the intake get by it.

about how long is the pipe inbetween? cause i think i'll get like a foot of it...how much would i have to cut? and can i just take the tray out?

About 6" long. If you take the tray out, where will the battery sit? Just trim the front part before the battery hold part is at.
