It's the easiest way to make one, yes!
and its just the intake tube from the TB to the cleaner box on the old Caravans and such or different? sry i've never truely done any fabing so this will be my first try at making something for my car.

ah ha so the short little end will connect to the TB and then the other end will point down... and the exhaust pipe will go where? or do u just put the air filter at the end of the plastic intake?

The short side connects right to the TB and you can put a piece of exhaust pipe in between like the pic below. You will have to trim your stock battery tray just a bit to let the intake get by it.

About 6" long. If you take the tray out, where will the battery sit? Just trim the front part before the battery hold part is at.
