RE: lowering
I've never heard of anyone using 2g springs on a 1g.. 1g springs are cheap 2g lowering springs.
goldline springs are crap unless you never plan on driving the car. if you install them, plan on replacing your struts in less than a week.
there are eibachs, dropzone, mopar that come to mind that are much better.

RE: lowering
i have been wanting to get some dropzone springs since i got my first neon....mainly since the dropzones take it down 2 inches....
depending on how far you drop it, you can almost always plan on getting new struts after a while since lowed springs arent good for stock struts...
here is a pic of my old r/t with some chopped gold line 2nd gen. spings on it...they came off a 2001 neon....i really liked how it looked, especially the back...
