they check us in every way possible tho, theyre pretty picky
i might bend the rules a little, but i just like the fact that my car was legal all year and i did better than alot of the cheaters

Same here - I have to stay stock for my class

Unfortunatly that means only Dodge Factory Parts for the SSC class cars!

for my other Neon - I have used Howel rebuild kit - I took an SOHC engine and moved my DOHC heads over to it.

The Howell Kit comes with replacement Piston Heads as well as everything else you could need to rebuild a engine from the ground up!

Here is pic of my original engine - I did not have much left to rebuild with!

I know some places if you win and someone calls "shenanegans" they can rip apart your engine to see if you're cheating.
If you are, you are fined and can be kicked out.

we just have a car claim, if i want to buy any competitor's car in my class, i can buy it for $1,000 if i tell the tech inspector before the feature starts if i have cash in hand at that time - if that person refuses they lose their points and payout money for the night, and have to pay a $150 fine to the track before they can race there again, thats to give evryone the knowledge they could lose their car for $1,000, so keep it cheap , if i have less than that in my car and someone claims it, i just made money on it - we also have a $100 ECM claim, the same rules apply to that, it sounds unfair, but its to keep the class cheap so anyone can do it and it helps keep it fair so we dont spend $5500 on an indestructable engine that can crank 8500 rpm and win every night
honestly its fun running out front, but it gets boring - i like to start at the back and have to fight all 19 other cars and still win, thats fun as hell, starting up front and staying there i get bored after 5 laps
these neon motors dont seem to survive much abuse, escort GT's are lasting 3 or 4 seasons with over 100,000 miles on them, ive seen 3 neons blow up this year, plus mine
