so i go to school in SF 4 days a week then i go home

and i have already seen quite a few neons with DOHC engines with the SOHC muffler

i saw one in my town last weekend or hte weekend before

whats up with that?

did dodge/chrysler rip power out of some of the DOHC neons?

 

are you sure it was a dohc???? how do you know.....im not trying to sound like an ***, im just curious
all dohc's should have the dual exit exhaust......i dont think ive ever seen one without

 

ive seen quite a few neons you would think SHOULD be DOHC, power buldge hood sport coupe, with a SOHC motor
or just exhaust shops putting cheap mufflers on cuz they see neon and dont know theres a difference

 

well i could see the exhaust shop part of it....especially being how the neons mufflers rot out pretty good

 

Remember the neons that got the free upgrade to a DOHC engine...I don't know if they also got the DOHC muffler as well. So maybe that's it.

 

yea wasnt there a shortage of SOHC engines at one time during production?, i keep finding sport coupes with the money saving downgrade to SOHC[:'(]

 

they all have the DOHC hoods

they might have SOHC in them with the hood but i see that as a waste...


i want a free DOHC

but then i wouldnt have matching tq and hp
and wouldnt be able to build it up cheaper

 

dohc doesnt cost that horribly much more to build then a sohc....depending on what your planning on building
