i think my speedometer is off by around 3 mph


anyone know how to fix it?

 

buy tires the right size for the car

 

i just got new tires that are the right size and everything

i have the stock hubs on
i want rims

 

it should be right then
if its not then the speedo is probly just tired

 

the neons speedometer is ran by a speedo gear inside the trans....so the only things that might make it off would be the tires, speedo gear itself, cluster, and pcm(though the pcm shouldnt make a difference)

just out of curiosity, what size tires you got on there???

 

hey your not as bad as me sometimes my speedometer just doesnt work all together stuck at 0 of course the cops dont believe me when i tell them that =[

or before i leave for work tomorrow morning

 

Ill be able to check how much mine is off, but im running 155/70/13 blizzaks on the front, so ofcourse its gonna be off. I think its about 6-7kmh. But ill be able to check once the carputer goes in, its got streets and trips 2006, (gps) so it also shows how fast im going, and how many satellites im connected to
