most reliable way to do it is to get new brakes and hubs for a 5 lug

well...

i would get the spacers..but..i will be needing new brakes pretty soon anyway.

so i would rather just go with all new brakes, and whatever else is needed.

but ya does anybody know what all is needed to completely change that?

They are called wheel adapters or something like that, but I would not recommend them at all.

4 lug vs 5 lug

rear bearing/hub assembly for a 5 lug will go right on, the front you grab spindles rotors and calipers from a 5 lug car and replace the whole deal, unbolt the ball joint & 2 strut bolts & take the whole shot off a donor car,CV splines are the same for either one, adapters suck , theyre dangerous in my opinon
the reason you have to change the whole spindle is because the rotors are larger diameter on the 5 lugs, calipers and brake pads are different also

i have extra spindles, fron calipers, and 5 lug hubs....just need new wheel bearings

a friend of mine had a grand-am that he put the wheel adapters on so he could use a nice set of chrome rims off his other car on it.....they worked good, until he was driving down the road and was passed by his own tire when the adapter broke

adapters are basically made just for looks.....they cant be trusted if you race the car or drive it hard.....or drive it at all for that matter
