Personally I wouldn't go CHEAP on a HG kit. Get a kit that uses Fel-Pro gaskets.

I have a couple more questions, how long would it take for an average person to install the whole kit? Is there anything I need to pay special attention to? Or should I just have a professional do it? $800.00+[:'(]

Pick a good weekend and do it. Shouldn't take you longer than that. Remember to use baggies and label them with what bolts/nuts go to what.

After that, you will be able to change one in a few hours

get a manual for it, theres a special order that you tighten the bolts up for the head. you mite also want to change your timing belt while you got the head out. nothin really to it, jus gotta remember where each bolt comes from. also wanna make sure your cams are lined up properly, dont wanna do all that work an end up bendin your valves.....

dun mean to scare you wit all that, jus givin you a heads up.

I know you want to do it yourself, but ill add this info...

I paid $750.86 at the Dodge dealership to get the headgasket, timing belt and timing belt tensioner all installed, had my car back within the week.

I work at a garage and have all the tools and know how but its a pain in the a$$ tearing it all down and hoping its right... in my opinion

theres my $0.02

P.S. i have found it easier to do a complete friggen engine swap then screw around changen the guts (read as i beat my car), $125 an engine on a skid @ local parts yard
