I didn't misread the thread. I turned it into a raceoff as a joke because if you casually read the thread, it looks like you two were dissing each other....so....shutup and race!

Sorry to be too subtle with my humor. I'll go play with my "stock" car now....

All those mods sound good, save the dohc pcm. It does have a different spark and fuel curve that is useful, but the extra fuel is not necessary. Save that for last. The neon runs rich as it is.

Certainly is not going to hurt. Run it.

So ive read this thread and I have a few questions.

1. Is it possible to put a DOHC neon head on a 2000 SOHC block?

and

2. If it is possible could I use the DOHC intake manifold with it?

You can't use 2003+ blocks in 1st gen neons without significant work.

gpc31, there is no difference between a SOHC block and a DOHC block. The difference is the pistons. There is a difference between the heads. So yes, you can use a DOHC head on a 2000 block and you would have to use the DOHC intake and exhaust manifolds along with it.

Default If I am changing from a sohc to a dohc, will i have to change the pcm to a dohc pcm

do i change from a sohc to dohc during a head swap from a sohc to dohc
, and is there a rpm curve difference in the two pcm's?
