What kind should be purchased for a 99DOHC neon?

go to a junkyard and get one off of an automatic neon for around $40
it's 52mm (mtx being 49mm)
then you can go get it bored out to 57mm

55mm TB would be good. Don't get the 60mm...you ain't ready for that.

would an atx throttle bodie w/out cruise work on a mtx w/cruise. if i didnt want to keep the cruise. and what do i have to do to get rid of the cruise control.?

it will work and you dont HAVE to get rid of the cruise......if you get an ATX throttle body, just get one from the same year....then you can still use the cruise

well i have a atx neon that i used to drive but now i have a mtx r/t. that has cruise. i want tto put the atx w no cruise on the mtx w it

use the shaft out of the MTX throttle body, and the spring, take off the TPS, take out the snap ring under it, take 2 screws out of the throttle plate, pull the plate out, then the shaft comes out, be carefull not to twist them off if its older and cruddy, you might have to work the screws back & forth quite a bit to get them out in once piece
