i maybe leaving the neon world...
my boss just put me onto an SVO for those of you who dont know its is basically a mustang but the ****....4 cyl turbo not to mention they only made like 10,000 of them so value goes up every year
i made sell my neon for atleast 1500 and get the SVO for 1400 and the only thing wrong with it is the front spoiler lip (easy fix) and the rear quarter panel needs painted...
so i think im puttin my neon up for sale this week and gonna get the svo 3 dec

 

my dad has an 85 SVO

last time we drove it
it was so smooth we burnt out and you couldnt even tell

it sounds so nice
and its so quick...

 

Not a bad deal! Im a neon guy, and ive seen the svo's work... I think i would roll an svo if i had the chance.

You clearly lack the Tao.

If speed is what you were in it for, then you would be best served by getting the fastest car. You could always get some other dodge vehicle, and have an excuse to show up in the Neon forum from time to time.

 

yeah my thoughts to das but i mean when it comes factory with konis can outhandle most...out accelerate...(20psi boost ) and it only has 138k on it hard to say no
and me an the wife(especially) likes mustangs cant beat that...(ill still be all neon at heart though )

 

trust me i dont lack the tao ive weighed my options and to turbo my neon would cost more than the svo like 2x as much and that outweighs the tao...(in the wifes eyes )
turbo a neon is atleast 1500 for the bare essentials already turbod car that needs nothing extra...1400 then i could sell the neon for alteast 1500 pocket some cash on top of that...but i have looked into dodge cars like this 2.2 turbo 89 dayton with 125k on it ive looked trust me but the daytona wont be worth half as much as the svo in a year "resale" is where its at when it comes to the money issue... SVO's go up every year i mean a corner light...a damn corner light cost 500 dollars...used...how could i say no to a car like that mmmmm....all the lights are intact by the way...all the expensive repairs...(steering wheel and shift ****...600 dollars...) SVO beats a neon even with the tao...cuz everyone has a neon and for me to get the performance out of my neon to the performance of the svo i could buy 2 svo's so i have the tao trust me i still dont want to sell the neon but wife says i cant own 2 cars

i have owned a few mustangs and own one currently...its a different world for sure!

 

it all depends on the mustang and mustang owner

other than my dad who is a really chill guy
i've found local (maybe just in cali) mustang and camaro people are real full of themselves

and most rice rocket people are full of themselves and their cars
then my buddy mike and i show up in our neons and beat them all

and it depends on the year of the mustang

90's models were slow and blew
early 2000 models blew
later GTs had the ****in engine that had a lot of *****
supped up 5.0s are really fast
regular ones are just 5.slows

and don't **** with SVOs
