Honestly, Id say start with the filter first. If your getting too lean, it very well could be a bad pump im not ruling that out, but do you know when fuel filter was last changed? If its recent then I would bet on pump but if its "i dont know" then change that first, sine you are still looking for a pump anyways, the filter can be found locally at pretty much any part store

Though I dont understand why its neccesary to get a special tool. You could just use a wrench
I didn't say it was neccesary, just easier with it. You can use the socket with a breaker bar and get it off simple.

The right tools make a big difference. You could use a crescent wrench to get alot of the bolts off but you don't...do you?

I find cresent wrenchs to be one of the worst tools I own. If I can get a cresent wrench in somewhere, then I will use the vice grips.

All they do for me is strip a bolt or nut. The vice grips at least dig into the nut or bolt, it may leave some marks, but it did what it had to do, and the cresent wrench can't always provide that. Just my experience, or lack of lol

Ooh, rachetting wrenches. Don't have any either.

Got bored and looked for them on eBay. Though the scary part about the thing in the link is their origin.
