Default Headlight switch not engaging the headlights

Did a search came up with nothing. before when I pulled the headlight *** I had to jiggle it a bit to get them to stay on, well now when I pull it out and jiggle some they just don't work period, my brights won't even work when pushed foward, I have to pull the bright beam lever back and hold it to get them to stay on. but my park lights still work. the bulbs aren't blown and neither are the fuses. I jiggled the headlight connectors around to see if I had a short but got nothing. I think my headlight switch is bad and just wanted to confirm. but would that cause my brights to do the same thing as well ? Do I have some wire tracing ahead of me? any help would be appreciated thanks everyone !!!!

sounds like you need a new dimmer/turn signal switch

Was about to suggest that the switch was getting old or perhaps one of the contacts is loose? Open it up and see?

i bought a neon once that had the same problem....after looking at it i noticed that the whole bottom of the switch and the plug were melted together.....ugh....
i would personally just buy a new switch....then you wont have to worry about it again for a while
