no i dont want it in the trunk....too much work to move it....and i need the trunk space for work
It isn't that hard and just get a small dry cell battery from Odyssey (oh wait, you're cheap!) . You could also use a smaller tractor battery to free up some space in the engine bay.

is there a problem with being cheap....i think im gonna just gonna put the one i have back in there and then if it doesnt work, then i will just get a smaller one

i only plan on running maybe 5 psi....if the motor seem to hold it up pretty good then i will turn it up a little bit.....im not too worried about blowing the motor since its winter...if it was summer then i wouldnt wanna blow it up because i wont be able to drive it in the nice weather.......my motor seems to be real good since it doesnt leak any oil or have any problems....so it might be good for a few extra psi....but i wont know until i get it goin.....maybe by the end of the week

Hey Spud. I know it's a little late (since you already did the timing belt) but it would be VERY smart to put a extra thick HG on. If you can put 2 MLS one's on that would work too, i've never doubled up HG's before though so I don't know if it's possible with the MLS. Your engine would be happier with the lower compression after you turbo it, and you might not blow something as fast. Just a thought, and a late one at that.

i dont like replacing headgaskets.....i hate all the different torq specs.....the headgasket was replaced on this car at about 100,000 miles ago so im sure it will need it soon, but i plan on building another motor during the winter...maybe...so i might just do that next time

so is there still a good chance of blowing the engine at 5psi on a stock block?

no i wouldnt think so....adding another headgasket doesnt make a dramatic difference

i got some more pics today....all the intercooler piping and vaccum lines are done....then FPR is mounted.....and the engine is all back together.....
now i just have to figure out a different oil return system....run the return fuel line....get some rubber fuel line...mount the external pump...mount the internal pump....and run the rest of the exhaust...

if everything works out like it should then aybe monday i will have it running...but im not sure...

the main thing that i know im gonna have trouble with is figuring out the map clamp..the one i got says you need to adjust it to the fuel cutout....but i am having a ard time figuring out the directions..

so the pics...i think they are self explanitory...but..
there is one of the engine
one looking under the car from the front
looking up at the turbo
a pic of how i had to cut off the bobble strut mount to make way for the intercooler pipe..
and another or two

you probably could have avoided cutting the bobble strut if you got this intercooler:

being that the piping will come out of the same side of the intercooler...this is the one i have.
