i have the same problem with mine. sometimes the actual break will get worn down or so on the back, but as for tightening the cable, mine needs it because it only engages at the very top notch, and nothing up till then

I thought you can just go crazy pulling it up and down and it auto adjusts?

Supposedly you push down the button, pull all the way up, then drop back down quickly, over and over again to adjust the tension on the lever itself. If that don't work, I think there's another thing you do to the drum itself...

That's what I've heard on other forums. I've tried it and it appears to work; it could be placebo.

What you can do to tighten the tension is take off the wheel, then the disk and inside there should be a nut to adjust the tension of the e brake...

if you have drums you can go through an manually adjust them, or better yet, take the wheel off, get some brake cleaner, spray that bitch clean then re-assemble, after adjusting them a little (I went 2 clicks on both of mine after cleaning it) e-brake didnt seem to feel any diff but brake seemed to start a little higher in pedal travel. As for e-brake I wasnt joking
