ya i just checked almost every junkyard in town the cheapest dohc is 550 and i dont want to go that high........so if i used that money and put it towards better internals what would be the best for about 300?

your not gonna get high performance internals for that much....for $300 you could basically just get new stock pistons/rods....the JE piston/eagle rod combo will run you about $800...but then you also have to get the block machined for the larger bore.....
even the cheaper wiseco piston/eagle rod combo wil still run you about $600

i wasnt looking to run more than 10 psi of boost i just want something thats gonna run better with a srt turbo............cause i want to try and keep the project under 1000

well just the parts for the turbo cost me about $1400 and thats without any internal mods.but i also got a new clutch

yep this isnt a cheap hobby

but i know you heard this expression b4 "you get what you pay for" so be careful what you buy and where u get it from.

well i want a turbo for my neon but i also am working on a project muscle car....i just want the necessary parts i have the turbo but now i need to find the rest of the parts to get it in....and spud is ur turbo in? how much of a diff does it make?...does anyone know how much hp this will give u? oh and what intercooler did u use?..... i really need a link to find that turbo adapter.........thanks

no it isnt all in yet.....i am hoping to get the exhaust done tomorrow......i spent today hooking up the gauges.....but i still have to do the fuel system, exhaust, and intercooler piping
