Default Exhaust/Steering Problem

I installed some ebay exhaust headers for my 99 neon mtx, put a bent pipe in for my cat ( removed), and put a CAI in. When i step on the gas, a rubbing noise is herd and the steering wheel vibrates. After looking at it more carefully, i noticed that when the engine twists ( engine under force) the exhaust hits on the steering horizontal shaft. Would i need to bend the headers out more or would prop. motor mount inserts help to avoid this problem?

Just out of curoiusity, what kind of header did you get? I was looking at the OBX header because it is all stainless steel and it doesn't cost a whole bunch. I may just go with a Pacestter, but everybody seems to have one.

i replaced 2 of the motor mounts withtin 6 months. The header you can find at ebay if you search for "dohc dodge neon header". It is ceramic covered and from auto dynasty. And if your planning on buying, remember that even tho it says no modifications required, its bs...i had to take out my cat to make it fit.

I didnt have to take out the cat, but i would have had to shorten it and so i decided just to take it out. I just ordered the motor mount inserts so hopefully itll be good
