Default Grinding brakes

sound from the front end when i slow down, obviously the brakes, makes a griding sound thats mostly heard from inside the car. started after i accedently put it in reverse rather than neutral and revved going like 3mph. Im thinking i probly just knocked something loose eather that or the brakes suck. How much am i looking at for repairs? can i do it myself?

the day before my water bump blew my front right brake sounded like that

but my brakes have 250k miles on them..

i'm getting new rotors eventually
that is probably what you need as well...

i don't know how much it is
but there is a post that was up recently explaining how to swap them i think

if its just the brakes then new rotors can run about 25.00-60.00 or so.....and pads can range from 15.00-50.00 or so...
get decent rotors and expensive pads

Did the mechanic check the muffler bearings? Those need lubing every 3000 miles.
