full drag neon ***tube chassis***
i still have a 1/4 gallon of paint left and i did 4 coats on the car.
there are 5 of us neon guys here in idaho, 3 are turbo'd, mine is the only one that has had the opportunity to make it to the track so far.

plans for this saturday include buying an electronic boost controller with high/low boost presets and possibly installing it as well. buying ot used from a friend for 100 bucks, 50 now, 50 later. going to run 8psi on the low setting for daily driving, and 10 at the track only, or if the 02 camaro SS wants another piece of the neon.
having a local neon meet also, will have pics up and possibly video if available, and then i have a race on the 8th again, no slicks still, but i should have that boost controller up and going then and should get some decent times.
i was thinking of running 2 pounds in first on low settings at the track, and 10 on high, switching from low (2psi) in first and switching to high (10psi) from second through 4th gear for traction purposes until i can afford my slicks.
i know, "your making more power, should get the slicks first" lol.

didnt get a chance to run the 10 psi, but i did turn it up to 8.
13.7@107.6mph on my lil ol street tires spun first and second gears.
trap is good for a 12.7 or 8, and just 2.4 mph away from my 110 sticker lol.
still on pump gas, car is running strong still!

well, i damaged 3 rod bearings, replaced them tonight. car is running like a top once again.
just a heads up for those following, i am dyno pulling this pig saturday, then onto some grudge racing at the track. i will post up my dyno sheets along with a few pics! hopeing for 220+ on 8psi, and who knows on 10.

i surprised my self, along with half the fellow guys dynoing.
3rd gear pull was at 229 at 8psi falling to 6, did two 4th gear pulls after adjusting the boost controller, solid 8psi throughout the pulls netting me 266fwhp/225wpft. i only had 3 pulls, so i did not manage to squeeze in the 10 psi pull, but i am guessing that at the 10psi, i would have been very close to that 300whp mark.
not too teribly bad for a stock bottom end sohc lolololol.
there was a stage2 srt that netted 269whp.
