I was jus wondering if i could take a stock atx mustang gt w/ my DOHC.....I look at the stats for this car and it only puts out 215hp.....also the quarter mile times are about the same.

 

hmm, i dont know about that.. a stock V8 vs. a stock 4cyl, he might spank you if you tried to race one..[&:]

 

the mustang will win without a problem.....

 

my friend kept up with a 98/99 GT (we know this guy by the way) in his EG6
and i beat his EG6 by 3-4 car lenghts


it's up to the driver
launch good and know your shift points

it doesn't hurt to try!

i had a gt at the track one day till i missed 3rd but i had him by like 2 cars and he wasnt going newere

 

power to weight....the mustang has you....especially if it's an auto and he just floors it....stick...you have the chance of him mis-shifting

neons weight 2300

that mustang probably has a little over 200hp
and the dohc has 150

yea it has more horsepower
but it weights a crap load

but like someone state above
they have nearly the same quarter mile

just race hte guy and tell us how it ends up

 

I am not sure what Model Mustang was on the Track at the time - but I started at the back of the pack and passed 2 Mustangs about 10 laps into the race with my stock Neon.

 

Ill def give it a shot lol...
