Default Neon Power Potential

Okay guys Im new and Im in an arguement with an ignorant neon driver. SO I figured Id come to the experts to get some answers.

Questions:
How much would it take to get 200hp (list both crank and whp) out of a 1st gen non R/T neon.

What would it take to a 1st gen non R/T neon run with an SS S/C cobalt or a Honda s2000?

I got nothing better to do so im gonna answer the noobs searchless topic.

It takes lots to get 200hp. You probably cant do it natural either. If you dont know much about turboes or have a wad of money sell your car and buy something different.

thats crank and whp

autos is probably losing 15% torque before the wheels, manual would be probably under 10%, so its a power improvement in its own.

You could do nitrous though, doesnt take too much for nitrous, and depending on the work the motors needs before hand to be 95% or higher, you could probably spray to get over 250hp for just over a grand too.

what to run with a ss cobalt? a 2.4 swap with 5spd, and every bolt on imaginable. But I dunno

their 150 allmotor but the ss drags out the super to get 200. horsepower is overrated their pretty close on the 1/4. the ss will nock the r/t on the top end.

hmm well i would swap in the DOHC...lot cheaper than the 2.4L swap... then add a cat back, make my own CAI, change out the cams and take off the PS and the AC, then add the UDP on it, add the ATX TB, um yea... still not close to the 200 mark....but u would be able to beat the SS, the S2000 on the other hand... 2.4L T swap lol
