i have a dodge neon that idles up when i bearlytap the pedal. the rpm will rise to about 2200-2500 and very very slowly return to regular rpm... i made the mistake of resetting the computer via power loss before running a ObdII diagnostic so no code is showing. if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

yea i would check all your vacuum hoses...but if that doesn't fix it then and if your brakes dont work...like they work but not as well as they used to (aka no more power brakes) then i would replace the brake booster. on our Neon we had to do that and it fixed the idle problem.

Mine does this as well, it has done it Since i have had it, replaced headgasket all gaskets around it all hoses, new tps, cleaned up the Throttlebody, Everything, and it still does what your saying it does, "bearly tap the gas the RPMs go up and come back down slowly" But with my exhaust it kinda rumbles as its going down and sounds mean so its all goood =D I find it fun! I have no other problems with it (knock on wood) Ill make a video of it in the mornand we'll see if its the same thing. So hopefully it isnt a big problem, I personally dont think it is!
