what should i do just fully build the 2.0 motor with the srt4 turbo or should i do the 2.4 swap with srt4 internals and the turbo or just spend the money and do the srt4 swap

 

Personally, I am doing the SRT-4 swap with MegaSquirt ECU. If you build up the 2.0L engine, it will probably cost more than or as much as an SRT-4 engine. Building up a 2.4L for a SRT-4 turbo is about the same deal. I suppose its all about your budget and how much work you want to do.

 

i have no problem witht he work or the money cuz i dont expect it to be done tomarrow i just want to best and its hard to find a wrecked srt4 up here in pa for a good price

 

if its between a built 2.0 with a td04 or a srt4 swap the 2.0 will handle what you throw at it so i go that way

 

ebay man ebay has srt4 engine fairly resonible upgrading is ezer but it only pumps 7 psi i think where as if you build a bad *** block from 2.0 and pump say 25 psi or better well hell u know the deal i would do 2.0 if can afford down time just my preference though. dont care foranything 4 door needa do a new 2 dr . more liters doesnt realy matter when building your motor you make its ci and displacment and such what you want from cam choicescrank vavles turbo wasgate t3 t25 whatever you want!!!!not dodge.not factor boo factory build your own dude for real !!!!

 

if you wanna keep it cheap swap in a sohc block with a srt4 turbo and a megasquirt about 2grand. ive had alot of successreliable runnin 15psi to 18psi

 

idk if i want to mess with megasquirt just yet it will be my first turbo and i want to learn more about the how the car runs and all with a turbo ill prolly end up putting megasquirt on it later cuz ill prolly change my set up later down the road but im prolly goign to just build up the 2.0 thats in my r/t now its goign to be a lot easier but whats the best ecu to get if im goign to run turbo

runiwolf07 i only mess with 2drs i dont like the looks of the 4 drs

 

so what are you lookin for as far as psi, hp and reliability. if you go above 12psi your gonna want some kind of piggy
the 4 door is a racers preference its lighter with better weight distrobution.

 

the srt4 engine swap can run you anywhere around 4,000-5,000 to get everything you need
while building up the 2.0 and using the srt4 turbo will run you about 2500-3000

and then the 2.0 will be able to withstand more power due to the forged internals

im with you on that but theres no point in forged pistons without a piggy, im living proff you can break forged rods. get the piggy at the same time itll be safer. if your only runnin 8 to 10 theres no reason to change from stock yet
