Default SAFC II or megasquirt?

This may be a stupid question, but i heard with megasquirt installed, with throw off engine codes and it wont pass the obd 2 inspections...and the safc doesnt... is this true?

MS shouldnt light cel's since there is no ecu to make them light up. safcii is useless on a turbo neon. all it will do is adjust idle because of the map sensor. you could "hack" it into the down stream o2 sensor, but then the o2 will throw a code because the safcii adjusts voltage and throws everything all to hell. MS replaces the ecu so it has no reason to light the dummy light or anything.

ms 1 is proven, ms2 is still, well think of it as beta form. alot of people are running the 1 and it is doing quite well. everyone knows it ect, 2 like i said is still in the beta if you can call it that. both are from the same company on ebay, and he is the manufacturer. this is not a piggy back unit, it replaces your ecu. it doesnt use the sensors on the motor, infact, i know it does not use the cam position sensor or the o2 sensors. being yours is a 96, i would choose the ms1.
