how low can i go

i have 17 inch rims and i was wondering how low can i go for having rubbing problem will 1.5 be to low

well i have 17 and i rub when i go over a small hill and have stock susp.

i had 17's but i took them off for the winter....never heard a rub...
as long as you have the right size tire, therewont be any problems with 1.5"

It also depends on the offset of your wheels. My neon is lowered prolly a good 3 inches with 17" wheels 205/40 17 not a problem.

mine is only gonna be lowered about .75"
but im gonna get some 215/40-17's in the summer

well i have 17's on my new rt n they dnt rub at all. however i had 15's with realy low profile tires on my other neon but they did rub.( lowered really far
