No, butI did mention that everyhing on the car functions perfectly except that I do not get a spark from the coil... I kinda figured that would exclude any issues with the starter....
Anyone else got any input on this one...
I really need to know if the PCM is indeed interchangable between the DOHC and the SOHC..
Thanks,
Chris

Have you had the starter checked and/or connections?
no the pcms do not interchange, one runs 2 cams the other only one. you said power to the coil pack is good, are you getting anything out of it, if not try a diffrent pack. but for the love god bro calm down, we're just trying to help by running down diffrent things, we'll get this
slright after reading this i assume you checked the connections and such to the coil pack how did you check it for spark?
I grounded the plug to the engine, and turned the gingine over, and got no spark.. I checked it with an inline spark tester, nothing, then I grabbed the plug with my hand and put the other hand on a chasis ground.. no shock.. not even a tingle.. I have power on the middle pin of the connector going to the coil pack, butI do not get the ground signal that is supposed to initiate the spark from the other 2 pins. I did the coil check procedure from the haynesmanual and it all checks out to spec. I did the same tests with a new coil pack and got the same results..
