Default Please help me out!!!

I'm converting my 95 SOHC to DOHC. I currently have a 97 DOHC motor.I know I needed the motor, the ECM, and the manifold to make the swap but I ran into a BIG prob. being as though I have a 95 and im putting a 97 motor in my car the engine harness wont work..The problem I'm having is the harness wont plug in..The only way I see this swap working is by completely rewiring my car which I REALLY dont wanna do!!!! Please has anybody done this and know of a way to compleet the swap without rewiring my whole car..

ic u swapped the PCM out for the DOHC, just get the engine wiring harness for the DOHC (97) and it should work.

I have the engine harness already but it wont plug up because the connectors are different..the 95 has a wide single connector while the 97 has two smaller ones..

you will need to swap the car harness too.....unless you wanna try to plice ALOT of wires[&:]
or you can try to find a 95 dohc and snag the engine harness, pcm, and intake manifold from it

Don't you mean a 97-99 DOHC harness?

no, i said what i ment

the car is a 95
the motor is a 97

if you dont wanna replace the in car harness, then find a 95 dohc car....
then you will only have to replace the intake manifold due to the 2 sensors instead of the 1 on the 97-99, engine harness with the onethe dohc95 for the intake sensors, and the 95 dohc computer.....then the 95 dohc engine harness will clip into the pcm and the 95 pcm will clip into the engine harness

Ahhh...I see said the blind man to the deaf man.

But swapping the harness would be easier for me, not to mention he can use any PCM from a 97-99 DOHC instead of being stuck with the bastard 95 PCM
