Default signal light wiring on mirrors?

I just bought some side view mirrors off ebay for my 96 neon highline. These mirrors have lights on them that could be wired as part of the turn signal lights, but asI am not very familiar with wiring, I'm not sure if this could besomething I am capable of doing myself.Does anyone know if the process could possibly be explained an amateur do-it-yourselfer or is it better left to a mechanic? thanks!

You need to splice into the turn signal wires.

i have them on my car...it was so long ago though i installed them....like 3yrs....just hook the ground wire(black) to somewhere on the door...and if your mirrors are the same as mine(you may have 2 different colors to choose from...blue or yellow) there should be 2 other wires coming from the mirror, a blue and white one. which ever color you want, take that wire and splice it into your turn signal lights..i think the wires coming from the turn signals is a green one and a brown one...i forgot which one u hook it up to, try both though and hit your flashers and see ifone of emworks.

thanks for theinfo...and yes my mirrors are almost identical to those in the pic and they have two color options too. I just need to know where the turn signal wires are located and the best way to get the wires from the mirrors to these. Andwhat about the post about the fuse pannel... is there another option?

that wont work....you will get constant power to the signal lights instead of blinking when you hit your signals

ill go take a look at my lights in a bitand tell you which wire to splice it into.
