I have a 1996 neon sohc 5 spd. vs a ford probe 2.5 v6 dohc with a 5 spd also. I can beat one with an auto. i want opinions by 3:30 this after noon (2-19-07)

 

My guess is the probe as it is .5 litres bigger

 

my guess would be down to the driver.

 

what mods do you and the other car have?

 

Its close, I have raced my friends Probe GT with a 5 speed and I kept up until about 50-55 and Im running a SOHC with the 3 spd Auto...Depends on the course and the rubber I think...Also what Crazy said, the driver

just race the guy give it a shot wont hurt unless ur a retarded crazy driver. I raced a Toyota MR2 the other night but he was being a girl about goin fast but when he did full acelleration he was quicker but i couldnt tell you which was faster be i was in the lead the whole time, i dont think he was trying. Then again they only have 130hp[8D]

 

ide say the neon,,i had a sohc and on a 1/8th of a mile i take them,, i raced the probe gt,,5 speed,,if u know how 2 drive ide say u got him,,i agree with neoncrazy101?

 

IIRC, the 2.5L V6 DOHC had ~160HP and ~150 ft/lbs of torque. So if he's a decent driver, he'll jump out ahead of you and continue to pull.

 

all i have is a cai and custom exhaust. He has nothing that im aware of other than a sound system(more weight as far as im concerned). it didn't happen last night. he had his moms car. he should have his car on wednesday. so i guess i will find out then.
