Default Steering

Just yesterday I was driving on the highway at 60 and nothing wrong but when I was coming to the light and turning right, my steering went out then came back, then out, back and fourth...I only notice this at low speeds...So my theory is that my pump is not moving enough fluid...Your thoughts....

Check the fluid level as mentioned and maybe drain and refill with some synthetic fluid.

Would it still be the belt if it did not squeek?...Could it be the valves in the power steering rack?

There isn't a drain plug. You can disconnect the line and then hold it into a pan and turn the steering wheel to pump out all the fluid.

Simple enough..Would you recommend getting the front wheels off the ground to make it easier on the rack?...Whats your recommendation on fluid?..Thanks everyone for all your help

Yes, raise the front wheels and with the car running at normal operating temp. When you refill, make sure the engine is cold and continue to turn the stering wheel from lock to lock and continue to refill to the cold level. I'd recommend Redline Synthetic PS fluid.
