RE: Walbro 255 Intank Pump
ok, here is how it works
if you get the intank pump then you will have to do the spool boy mod because you will have to bypass the stock regulator...otherwise you might as well keep the stock pump in there.....
so that is why i have 2 pumps.....
the walbro in-tank pump was bought on accident, so i just put it in anyways since i alredy had it......so, you can keep the intank pump stock, then get the external walbro and hook it up to the stock pump...the way it works is that the stock pump pushes out 49psi through the stock regulator, but the external will basically pull out the extra fuel that is necessary for the turbo.....
and then, as an extra bonus, if your stock pump ever dies on you, you can still drive the car home
if you need, i have an external walbro that i am willing to sell
i can send you all the pics you need if you decide to go this route with only using the external pump...its alot easier then doin the spoolboy mod since you only have to modify the stock pump to fit a return line into the canister
