Well since the 95 manifold has a seperate IAT and MAP sensor, then it would have plugs on the end of the wiring for each. If you swapped in a 96 intake manifold that has the combined IAT/MAP sensor, then there would only be one plug on the wiring. I don't know what all sensors are different, so you will have to see if the sensor fits theplug or not.

the coil pack plug is different, cam sensor, crank sensor, throttle body sensors....basically
pop your hood and look at the engine.....jusy about every wire you see will be different

 

I never worked on or pulled anything from a 95.

 

Sorry for hijacking the post but i didnt want to start another 1 for the same topic,,,,okme and my buddy just did the swap,95 SOHC intoa 98and it wont start it turns over and i changed the wiring harness and all the sensors am i missing something,could it be the map sensor and the iat sensor???even if i swapped all the sensors,i get this code,,11-Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more from initial learned value, Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking,,,,,,,,if any1 has an idea feel free to help me out,,thanks,,,,

i would bet a 99.9% chance that your timing is off a little

 

we pulled out a running motor out of the 95 and put it in the 98,,and it was running b4 we swapped engines,but now,,im not 100% sure but i think its not firing,,but i get code 11,,i dont think its the timing because we didnt play with the timing,,,,it just dont fire i think,,,???????

 

cam sensor or crank sensor....did you switchALL the wiring (in the car and engine compartment) and the pcm????
did you check your coil pack????

remove a spark plug from the head and leave it connected to the plug wire, then set it on the valve cover and have sumone turn the car over while you watch the plug.....

 

We took the wiring harness from the 98 engine and put it on the 95 engine with all the sensors,and i dont know if this works i didnt have a volt meter so i did the screw driver in the sparkplug wire test,,and there isnt a spark,,
