Can i swap a 95 sohc motor into my 96 sohc car. I am building a turbo setup and i wanna have a backup motor, but i AM NOT putting a 95 wiring harness in my 96 car or am i using the pos 95 pcm! Can i use my 96 wiring harness on the 95 motor. If so what do i have to change on the 95 motor!!!

 

you have to change everything....almost all of the sensor and wire plugs are different..
plus the 95's have a separate map sensor and iat sensor...all the others have 1 sensor combining the 2

 

i wondered why they made the 95s so much different than all the other first gens.....that sux

 

the 95's were the entry year.....basically, the first year alot of cars are in production they do things differently...then the following years they wind ways to correct them...
it goes the same with my 98 durango, there are just alot of things that are different on it then any other year durango

 

so all i have to change is all the sensors on the motor! Also will my plastic intake from the 96 bolt up to the 95 head. Then i can use the iat/map sensor!

 

yea you should be able to use the manifold.....correct me if im wrong

can u give me a list of sensors, that i should go junk yard hunting for. other than the oil pressure sensor, i have an oil psi gauge so i dont use it! Also when i go looking for these sensors does it have to be off of a 96 car or can they be off of another year.

 

The wiring for the sensor is different also.

 

"DAS" do you know if it can be done! is there a "sticky" already about this. What sensor are you talking about that has different wiring! Also can u giveme a list of the sensors!!
