Default Dirty Intake Manifold

For some reason my intake manifold is really dirty. I think it might have been from when the head gasket was leaking oil. It looks like black sludge, not much though, just a thin layer of it starting from the throttle body and in to the intake manifold. How can I clean it out? Carb cleaner? Sea Foam?

if you dont have Emissions testing in your state or area you can remove the egr system then you wont have to worry about this problem and use the sea foam

What the others are saying is true about the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve, but if you do block it off, you will constantly have a CEL for it unless you have an aftermarket PCM.
