Default brake pressure?

ok is the brake pressure distributed evenly to front disc to rear drums? because I'm trying to convert my rear drums to dics next week. It might not be called brake pressure... but maybe the brake distributer? lol i don't know but it's the "pressure/compression ratio" that distributes brake fluide to the front discs to rear drums when the brakes are applied. so i'll need to know this for the front discs and rear drums AND front discs and rear discs. THANK!!

Anthony

Yes there are “proportioning” valves that control the flow/pressure of fluid to the rear breaks. These valves are different dependant on ABS or non-ABS systems and I assume a different valve would be required for rear drum vs disc breaks. The valves are located on the master cylenderoutlet lines to the rear breaks. Sorry my book didn't make mention of valve differances forrear drum vs disc.

The master cylinder is different between disc and drum, but you DO NOT need to change it. I know alot of people who have done the swap, including myself, with out changing the master cylinder and have experienced no problems.

Default Rear disc assembly

Do you have a diagram of a rear disc assembly for the neon? I don't know what to take off or what not. Do I need any of the lines? I found a 98 dodge neon DOHC 2-Door Manual. Well If you can give me a diagram or/and a list of things to take off or things that I need to complete this conversion. I'm also not sure if it's abs or not.

Would I need to take off the entire strut on both side including all the bars connected to them? I'll be doing this either later today or tomorrow. how much is all this worth if it's at the junkyard?

I'm getting a 4-1 megan racing header and srt-4 flat black rims with falken tires on them... I should have new photos of my car on the following monday.

thanks

You need everything except the knuckles. Ebrake cables, brake lines, brake pads (may wanna buy new ones) calipers, rotors(might want to get them turned) and backing plate. Price depends on the yard. I'd say roughly around $150 though for everything.

Default RE: Rear disc assembly

Hey, hate to jack the thread... but with this SRT-4 swap, I am swapping atleast the front calipers witht eh SRT-4 calipers.. I might swap the backs too, think I will run into problems if I dont change out the master cylinder? I dont plan on hooking up the ABS from the SRT-4, for the simple fact I dont like ABS one bit, and also the module for it is too big. Any thoughts?

The SRT-4 calipers don't just swap onto the 1st gens.
